October and November 1999 At the beginning of November Sophie weighed 14 lbs. 4 ozs., measured 25 3/4" long, and her head circumference was 43cm, putting her in the 90th percentile for length, 75th percentile for weight, and 95th percentile for head size, fyi! She can roll onto her tummy and she loves to hold on to her feet. She likes to put things in her mouth and seems fascinated when we eat, though she's still just having mommy's milk at this stage. She laughs and sings with us, and is just beginning to get interested in toys. Sophie loves to read, and is always trying to touch the pages of the book, probably to chew on them. She still accompanies us to all our music and dance events, and she loves to be in the center of all the action, i.e., attached to one of us as we dance! (see last picture on this page) She's still very blonde and blue-eyed, like Judy's mother was, and we're still waiting to see if she'll stay our "Nordic princess" or become dark-haired like us. Bonding on the changing table, kiss, kiss, kiss! Click on any image below for a full size picture Sophie was a nursing bumblebee for Halloween. Folk dancing with the parental units at Hungarian House on Fridays is de rigueur. |
