Sophie is almost six months old.  She is learning to sit up.

She is VERY interested in adult food at mealtimes. We let her suck on a banana, then some clementines.  Finally we introduce solid food - rice cereal with water and orange juice, rice cereal with pureed cooked pears, apples, or sweet potatoes.  She loves it!  Her tongue still ejects the food sometimes but she is really learning to open wide.

At the end of December we visited Aaron, Jana and cousin Aleeza in Amherst and said goodbye to "Saba" Alan and "Savta" Rita.  Sophie has her first taste of vanilla ice cream, jokingly bestowed upon her by her dad and grandfather.  She loves it, of course.
