Sophie's speech is notably improved over the past month.
"down koo lake" is now "down to lake". "Mommy,
wh'yoo doing?" is asked over and over, as is "Where we
going?" The only response that doesn't elicit a repeat question is
"to the moon!" This usually tickles her enough to break the
cycle. She also requests things by saying, "How about...?"
Here's a funny exchange:
Sophie: "More pasta!"
Noel: "More pasta what?" (trying to get her to say please)
Sophie: "More pasta MORE!"
We have architectural plans for a 450 square foot
addition to our house, and we are in the process of getting contractors to give
us estimates. We hope to have it started in August or September and
completed this winter. Wish us luck! It will be a master bedroom
suite - bedroom, bath, and office.
Sophie's friend Wylie had her third birthday - it was a major
social event
The annual Clearwater Revival festival was an opportunity to
hang out with Noel's old friend Andrea and her daughter Isabel (above with
Sophie in stroller). Zlatne Uste held a warm, hrainy barbecue at Pine Lake Park,
after Judy's baby shower at Jane's earlier that day. Sophie was serenaded and surrounded by
horns, while Judy bumped bellies with Emerson.
Sophie and friend Benjamin play the piano, Daniel and Sophie
vamping on a trike before she can reach the pedals, Sophie in profile.
At the end of the pregnancy, Sophie and the folks are beating
the heat by swimming as much as possible. Above, Judy and Sophie are
swimming (and posing) at our friend Jenny's pool with a gorgeous view of the
Hudson.
Relaxing with the folks at Lake Celeste.
A dinner visit from Judy's uncle Henry and his partner Melanie is a lot of fun.
